Plant Enemies and Wasp Enemies were making damage for 1 time now fixed
Author: Carlos Castro
On the first prototype that we submitted the last month, we received very good feedback and also the player was able to identify two main bugs. The bug was the same, but it was in two different characters. So the bug and the issue was that the plan enemies and the wasp enemies were making damage to the player just the first time that the player touched the plan or the wasp. With this bug, the player had the opportunity to be inside the damage zone of our enemies without receiving more damage.
So, this solution to this problem was to create a physical reaction in the player, this means that when the player touches the plan enemies or the wasp enemies the player was going to be pushed back and then the player was going to be able to get inside the damage zone and receive the damage again.
This is a simple but effective bug, so on the player, I included an immune timer so the player doesn’t get damaged while is been pushed backward outside of the damage zone of the different enemies. In this post, I am going to include two videos, one of them is going to show the bug that was on the prototype build and the second video is the solution, and you can see that works perfectly as expected.
